Quince, a Series D-funded direct-to-consumer fashion and accessories company founded in 2018, is seeking an experienced Cashmere Material Quality Lead to oversee quality assurance across the entire cashmere and fine fiber supply chain. The role is critical to ensuring products meet premium standards from raw fiber procurement through finished goods delivery, while aligning quality initiatives with brand strategy and sustainability commitments.
You will lead a dedicated QA/QC team and manage an in-house testing center responsible for establishing and executing rigorous lab protocols. This includes testing for fiber fineness, length, color consistency, strength, pilling resistance, and dye fastness across raw fiber, dehaired fiber, yarns, and finished products. You will analyze how each stage of the supply chain impacts final product quality and design preventive measures to maintain consistency and excellence.
Key responsibilities include defining and implementing quality standards across all production stages, building and developing a high-performing QA/QC team, and collaborating closely with sourcing, production, and design teams to ensure quality aligns with brand positioning. You will partner with suppliers and factories—primarily in China and Mongolia—to elevate quality practices and ensure compliance with international standards (GB, ISO, ASTM).
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree or higher in Textile Engineering, Material Science, or a related field, with 8+ years of hands-on experience in cashmere or fine fiber quality management covering the full product lifecycle. You should have a proven track record establishing quality systems and laboratories, strong leadership and team-building capabilities, and fluency in English and Chinese. An analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements is essential.
