sennder is Europe's leading digital freight forwarder, modernizing road logistics through technology and automation. The Carrier & Account Transport Operations role is based in the Lyon office and requires full-time, on-site presence.
In this position, you will manage carrier relationships and transport operations, serving as a key bridge between customer demand and carrier supply. Your responsibilities include:
• Building and maintaining contractual relationships with carriers, negotiating spot market commitments and transportation rates
• Conducting outbound calls to carriers to assess availability, commitment levels, and pricing
• Applying trucks to customer loads across both contractual and transactional arrangements
• Developing supply chain solutions that support customer go-to-market strategies
• Resolving operational problems by identifying issues, seeking cross-functional input, and implementing solutions
• Managing day-to-day status updates and communications with carriers and internal teams
• Researching and onboarding new carriers, generating leads, and building relationships in the marketplace
• Ensuring customer load requirements are met on committed and ad-hoc shipments
• Identifying backup carriers for critical situations and understanding market trends and seasonality
• Making truck offers to capacity teams across the sennder network
• Managing personal development and alignment with branch strategy and vision
