MoonPay is hiring a Capital Officer to build and lead capital planning, allocation, funding, and liquidity management for a high-growth fintech platform operating at the intersection of financial services and digital assets. The company serves 30M+ customers and 500+ ecosystem partners, offering fund, tokenize, trade, and spend capabilities across crypto, stablecoins, and tokenized assets. Licensed in the US and regulated across the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. In this role, you will own MoonPay's capital planning and management framework from the ground up, including forecasting, capital allocation, governance, monitoring, and management reporting. You will develop and execute funding and liquidity strategies tailored to different business and market conditions, build robust capital forecasting capabilities that translate business strategy and external conditions into actionable plans, and lead stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to assess vulnerabilities and inform senior-level decisions. You will drive capital allocation and balance sheet analysis in partnership with senior stakeholders, evaluating capital deployment opportunities and optimizing financial resource use. A key part of the role is building a scalable capital management capability—establishing frameworks, governance, analytics, reporting, systems, and operating cadence to support an increasingly complex financial services business. You will work closely with Finance, Risk, Legal, and senior business leaders to strengthen MoonPay's financial resilience and support long-term strategic objectives. The company operates at high velocity with high accountability, expecting outcomes over process and real ownership. AI is embedded across all roles, and you'll be expected to use it daily to focus on high-impact work. Required: 15+ years in leading financial institutions with significant capital management, capital planning, treasury, balance sheet management, funding, or liquidity experience. Deep hands-on expertise in capital planning, forecasting, and framework development. Substantial experience in funding, liquidity, and balance sheet management, ideally in custody, transaction services, payments, or complex financial services. Extensive stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis experience. You combine strong financial and commercial judgment with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and personally develop sophisticated financial frameworks in fast-moving organizations.
