As a Capital Markets Analyst, you will support Volta's Finance team in raising and structuring billions of dollars in debt and equity financing for data centers, powered land, and compute infrastructure. This is a high-visibility role offering deep expertise in infrastructure and project finance while working on live transactions that directly enable company growth.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining financial models to evaluate debt and equity financing structures for data center and power infrastructure projects; supporting execution of capital markets transactions including project finance, asset-backed lending, and structured credit facilities; preparing investor materials, credit presentations, and financial analyses for lenders, rating agencies, and equity investors; conducting market research and benchmarking on comparable transactions and pricing; assisting with due diligence processes and coordinating data rooms; tracking and analyzing key financial metrics such as leverage ratios and debt service coverage; monitoring macroeconomic and credit market conditions relevant to infrastructure financing; supporting post-close reporting and covenant compliance; and collaborating with FP&A, Accounting, and Treasury teams.
You will work cross-functionally with Treasury, Legal, Accounting, and deal teams, gaining exposure to complex financing structures rarely available at earlier-stage companies in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
Required qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or related field, ideally with infrastructure, energy, or project finance exposure; strong financial modeling skills including leveraged finance, project finance, or credit models; solid understanding of debt and equity capital markets instruments and processes; excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail; advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; familiarity with Bloomberg or Capital IQ preferred; ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines; strong written and verbal communication skills; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
