Rocket Doctor is a digital health platform and marketplace that leverages AI/ML and wireless medical devices to provide equitable, accessible healthcare through a network of independent physicians. The company operates a virtual and hybrid care model, serving nearly 1 million patient visits across Canada with 400+ practicing MDs. Recently acquired by Treatment.com AI (publicly traded on TSX as AIDR.CN in Spring 2025), Rocket Doctor is expanding rapidly with partnerships across Ontario, Alberta, BC, and into Atlantic Canada, plus a new faculty partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine.
The Canada Medical Director (0.5 FTE) reports to the CEO and serves as the clinical and strategic leader for Rocket Doctor's Canadian operations. This is a hybrid leadership role combining clinical oversight, team management, and operational accountability.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Strategic & Clinical Leadership—provide clinical oversight across all Canadian provinces, ensure compliance with federal and provincial telehealth regulations and licensing requirements, develop and implement clinical protocols and quality assurance initiatives, and represent Rocket Doctor in partnerships with healthcare institutions, payors, and regulators; (2) Team Building & Management—build, lead, and mentor a nationwide team of MD Leads (senior clinicians overseeing regional/specialty clinical quality and operations), provide aligned goals and resources to support growth; (3) Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration—manage clinical escalations and high-risk case reviews, work with PAs and patient care coordinators, collaborate with product and operations teams to improve the virtual care platform and EMR, and support patient care initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Canadian physician with strong clinical credibility, experience in telehealth or virtual care delivery, regulatory and compliance expertise, and proven ability to build and lead clinical teams. Leadership experience, comfort with technology and AI-driven healthcare, and a passion for expanding access to care are essential.
