Salary: USD 74,600 - 106,800 / annual

In this Buyer II role, you will manage the procurement lifecycle for both direct contract and indirect company-support acquisitions. Your core responsibilities include:
• Place and manage purchase orders and subcontracts, ensuring alignment with project requirements
• Monitor and expedite open purchase orders to meet delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate and complete purchase order data in the MRP system
• Conduct supplier negotiations with management support to secure favorable terms, pricing, and schedules
• Prioritize program requirements and ensure timely execution
• Proactively communicate supplier performance risks to internal stakeholders
• Support resolution of discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, accounts payable, and supplier payments
You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside a talented team focused on solving complex challenges in space and defense technology. The role requires up to 10% travel within the United States, including possible overnight stays.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of supply chain experience, OR 9+ years of purchasing field experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate complex ideas and persuade stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with procurement management and ERP systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in aerospace/DOD industry
• Experience complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and NASA requirements
