The Procurement Specialist will own end-to-end procurement of aerospace parts, materials, and services, managing meaningful spend categories and strategic supplier relationships while supporting production needs. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives, driving measurable cost savings and total cost of ownership improvements through structured sourcing strategies. You will lead negotiations on supplier agreements covering pricing, terms, SLAs, and risk provisions, informed by market analysis and supply-base capability assessments. The role includes proactively identifying and addressing supply chain risks, maintaining accurate procurement documentation, and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS/ITAR and AS9100 regulations. Minimum qualifications include 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or buying experience in a highly technical environment with a focus on contract negotiation and supplier management. You must have experience developing and managing RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Excel, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of aerospace/defense procurement experience, experience negotiating Long-Term Agreements and complex supplier contracts, strong analytical skills in cost analysis and total cost of ownership, understanding of the DoD and aerospace landscape, relevant certifications (CPSM, CPSD, Lean Six Sigma), and demonstrated success leading cost-reduction initiatives with quantifiable savings.
