Motive is a SaaS platform that empowers physical operations teams—transportation, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing—with tools for fleet management, safety, and financial visibility. The company serves nearly 100,000 customers globally and combines AI-driven automation with comprehensive operational control.
As Business Strategy & Operations Analyst II, you will be the operational engine behind the sales organization. This is a strategic, hands-on role—not a reporting-support seat. You will own the full lifecycle of recurring business rhythms (weekly and quarterly business reviews), build automation to scale those processes, and provide data-driven recommendations that shape leadership decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and run weekly and quarterly business review cadences: reconcile numbers, surface insights, and meet executive deadlines.
- Build automation (AI agents, multi-system workflows, data pipelines) to eliminate manual work, not just create reports.
- Conduct analysis on pipeline, funnel, forecast, and productivity data to answer strategic questions with actionable recommendations.
- Support territory planning, account assignment, and capacity planning with sales leaders.
- Maintain quota, target, and KPI tracking with definitions that withstand executive scrutiny.
- Partner cross-functionally with Systems, Data Quality, Enablement, SDR, Marketing, and Finance to fix issues at source.
- Protect data integrity by building QA into all deliverables and addressing root causes of recurring issues.
You will work with a team that is actively replacing manual processes with intelligent automation and expects you to build, not just consume, those tools. The role suits someone with 2+ years of operating experience in sales operations, revenue operations, business intelligence, or business strategy who can take ambiguous business questions, structure them, pull data independently, and deliver defensible recommendations.
Required skills: SQL proficiency (mandatory)—you independently write and debug warehouse queries including joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregation logic. Experience with sales operations, revenue operations, or analytics for commercial teams is essential.
