Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company serving 1M+ members across 40K+ companies, with €800M+ ARR. The Business Segment Lead role is a strategic general management position responsible for achieving market leadership within a defined business segment (organized by company size or industry). You will own the complete P&L and strategic direction for your segment, working with distributed ownership across Product, Insurance, Sales, and Marketing teams. Key responsibilities include: (1) building deep market intelligence on competitive landscape, customer pain points, and segment sizing; (2) developing differentiated value propositions and pricing strategies; (3) designing and executing go-to-market strategies covering both account renewal and expansion; (4) owning P&L performance and making the case for internal resource allocation; (5) collaborating with product teams to ensure offerings align with market insights. The role emphasizes transversal influence—you'll work closely with cross-functional leaders, share best practices with peer segment leaders, and drive alignment on long-term value creation. You'll operate as a generalist self-starter, comfortable analyzing data, navigating complexity and uncertainty, and going into the field to support teammates. Alan is hiring for newly launched, high-potential segments where strategy and execution are being built from the ground up. The company operates across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada with 800+ employees and a strong coaching-driven culture. Requirements: 8+ years leading a business (product category, business segment, or equivalent); full working proficiency in French and advanced English; exceptional ability to establish transversal influence; strong data analysis and business acumen; ability to articulate clear strategies amid complexity; prior experience with senior leadership; willingness to relocate to or be based in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona.
