Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company serving 1M+ members across 40K+ companies, with €800M+ ARR. The company integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a unified platform and is expanding across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada.
As a Business Segment Lead, you will own market leadership for a designated business segment within the French market. This is a strategic, cross-functional role requiring transversal influence across Product, Insurance, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Key responsibilities include:
**Market Intelligence & Strategy**: Build deep expertise on your segment's competitive landscape, customer pain points, and market sizing. Develop a clear vision for segment leadership and articulate strategies despite complexity and uncertainty.
**Value Proposition & Pricing**: Define differentiated product offerings and pricing strategies to establish market leadership in your segment.
**Go-to-Market Strategy**: Own both renewal (account management) and expansion (business development) strategies. Innovate on distribution channels, sub-segments, and partner management.
**P&L Ownership**: Own segment ROI and build the business case for internal resource allocation. Make data-driven decisions to optimize returns.
**Product Collaboration**: Work with product teams to ensure offerings align with market insights and customer needs.
You will collaborate closely with other segment leaders to share best practices and build long-term value alignment. The role focuses on new, high-potential segments where significant opportunity exists.
**Required qualifications**: 8+ years leading a business (product category, business segment, or equivalent); full working proficiency in French; advanced English; exceptional ability to establish transversal influence; strong data analysis skills; business acumen with product depth; generalist mindset with ability to adapt quickly; experience with senior leadership; willingness to relocate to or be based in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona.
