Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 / annual

As Business Operations Manager, you will report to the Director of Customer Service and Business Operations and drive cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will collaborate with teams across Underwriting, Marketing, Sales, RevOps, Support, Product, and R&D. Key responsibilities include: **Lead Initiatives:** Drive critical cross-functional projects autonomously, managing all aspects from analysis and business case development through strategic planning, execution, reporting, enablement, and impact tracking. **AI & Automation:** Identify opportunities where AI tools can automate operational work, build and test solutions that drive scale, and serve as a resource for teams adopting AI in their workflows. **Process Innovation:** Identify operational improvement opportunities across functions, propose data-backed solutions to streamline processes and increase efficiency, document and implement updated workflows, and drive adoption of new tools and processes. **Data-Driven Insights:** Analyze critical KPIs to understand end-to-end metrics and identify improvement opportunities. Back all recommendations with data aligned to company strategy and OKRs. Partner with BI and RevOps teams to build operational dashboards in Tableau. **Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:** Partner with senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives. Lead cross-functional efforts ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations on KPIs and results. **Change Management & Implementation:** Drive execution of process changes and new initiatives company-wide, including adoption reporting and impact tracking. Provide enablement and training to help teams navigate new processes, systems, and AI tools. **Business Operations:** Assist in managing vendor agreements and renewals. Support operational projects as they arise, such as office leasing or relocations. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related quantitative field (MBA preferred) - 5+ years of experience in consulting, operations management, underwriting operations, finance, or strategic initiatives, preferably in Insurtech, tech, insurance technology, or financial services - Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering tangible business results in high-stakes environments - Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.) - Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior leadership and teams - Proven ability to autonomously manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines - Knowledge of insurance industry trends and regulatory environment is a plus - Ability to express and consider diverse opinions - Passion for acquiring, applying, and sharing knowledge - Must be based in Chicago and willing to work hybrid from office 3 days per week - Willingness to travel as necessary
