8Fleet is a rapidly growing LA-based technology and logistics startup building operational infrastructure for non-autonomous and future autonomous rideshare fleets. The Business Operations Associate will be instrumental in driving business growth and operational excellence across the company's expanding Los Angeles operations.
In this role, you will project manage strategic priorities that amplify business growth, working closely with cross-functional teams to measure process impact and efficiency while identifying new value-creation opportunities. You'll develop frameworks to prioritize strategic initiatives with high ROI, identify operational weaknesses, and help innovate improved processes. Key responsibilities include monitoring KPIs and tracking progress toward business goals, analyzing fleet performance data to identify profitability and efficiency improvements, and communicating strategic projects to senior leadership.
You'll be a go-to problem-solver for the business, supporting teams through rapid execution and handling high-priority firedrills. The ideal candidate brings 1+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, business intelligence, strategy, or high-growth startup operations. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset, self-serve research capabilities, and the ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution. A "get it done" attitude with bias toward action, excellent collaboration skills, and strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.
Required: Bachelor's degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with data analysis. Bonus skills include SQL, Python, R, and proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude. Experience with ridesharing platforms (Uber, Lyft) is a strong plus.
