Overview.ai is deploying AI-powered computer vision systems to solve inspection problems in manufacturing. The company operates a full-stack platform: GPU-powered edge cameras, on-device inference, and a fleet management platform serving global customers. With 700% YoY growth and tripled headcount, the company has achieved product-market fit in North America and is scaling rapidly.
As a Business Development Representative, you will identify and qualify high-value inspection opportunities within U.S. manufacturing accounts, working from a LATAM base with U.S. business hours overlap. This is not a cold-calling role; instead, you will conduct discovery-driven outreach to uncover genuine use cases, map decision-makers (Quality Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Operations Leads), and disqualify opportunities early when there is no real fit. You will build and maintain a target list across automotive suppliers, electronics, industrial OEMs, food and beverage, and high-volume production environments.
Key responsibilities include: building and working a qualified account list; finding and reaching decision-makers with tailored outreach based on solved use cases; leading discovery conversations to identify real blockers (cost, downtime, false positives); making clear qualification/disqualification decisions; handing off clean, actionable context to Vision Sales Engineers; maintaining HubSpot hygiene with consistent data and activity logs; and iterating messaging based on weekly learnings.
You will be measured on qualification quality, not activity volume. The role offers direct exposure to leadership, input into manufacturing positioning and sales strategy, and a clear path to promotion—strong BDRs at high-growth companies typically advance quickly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior outbound sales experience as a BDR, SDR, inside sales rep, or equivalent
- Strong phone skills and sound outbound instincts
- Fluent, professional-level English (written and verbal); you are the primary voice to U.S. prospects
- Based in LATAM with ability to work U.S. business hours consistently (Eastern or Central time overlap required)
- Comfortable in ambiguity and able to work independently without close supervision
- High curiosity and genuine willingness to learn technical concepts
- Ability to ask good questions and think critically about opportunity validity
- Organized, reliable, and accountable for your own pipeline
STRONG PREFERENCES:
- Manufacturing, SaaS, or technical sales background
- Experience selling into or supporting U.S. markets; familiarity with U.S. industrial business norms
- Working knowledge of HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Nooks
- Basic understanding of production processes or quality control
Preferred locations for time zone overlap: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Bogotá, Medellín, San José (Costa Rica), Panama City, or Buenos Aires.
