Wintermute is a leading crypto-native algorithmic trading firm founded in 2017, providing liquidity across major cryptocurrency exchanges and expanding into prediction markets. This Business Development Manager role focuses on growing the sports betting and prediction markets business by leveraging an established network of high-value sports bettors and VIP clients.
You will own the full client lifecycle—from initial relationship-building through onboarding, activation, and ongoing account management. Key responsibilities include building and managing relationships with sophisticated market participants, identifying where active and valuable bettors operate, and developing strategies to reach and engage them. You'll leverage your existing network to introduce new clients to Wintermute's offerings while developing fresh relationships through industry events, referrals, and private networks.
The role requires close collaboration with trading, product, and operations teams to ensure clients receive a high-quality experience. You'll gather market and client feedback to help shape the company's sports and prediction markets strategy, and work independently with significant responsibility from day one.
Ideal candidates have an established network of high-value sports bettors with a proven track record executing large transactions (tens of thousands to millions of dollars). You should have deep understanding of the sports betting ecosystem, proven ability to build trust with demanding clients, and experience in VIP management, high-touch sales, business development, or account management within sports betting. A commercial mindset, strong communication skills, comfort operating independently, and passion for sports are essential. Interest in prediction markets and the convergence between sports betting and financial markets is valued.
