Deliveroo is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Bristol & South West regional team, reporting to the Regional Manager. This role is central to Deliveroo's marketplace strategy, focusing on restaurant acquisition and growth across the South West and Wales regions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include strategic prospecting to map and close new restaurant partners, conducting multi-channel outreach via physical visits, calls, and digital platforms to demonstrate Deliveroo's value proposition. You'll oversee the complete partner onboarding process, ensuring efficiency and speed from initial contact through launch. Performance monitoring during the critical first eight weeks post-signing is essential to guarantee long-term platform success.
The role requires extensive field work—you'll be out on the road regularly, attending restaurant and food industry meetups, sampling offerings from high-quality establishments, and staying ahead of market trends. You'll act as a city-level expert, identifying emerging dining concepts that customers want most.
Ideal candidates bring proven sales and negotiation experience, with a track record of closing new business and structuring win-win partnerships. Strong commercial knowledge of food delivery economics and ability to work toward demanding monthly targets is essential. Exceptional communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and email channels are required, along with a self-motivated, tenacious approach to territory management and ownership of results.
A valid driving license and access to a car are mandatory, as frequent travel across Bristol and surrounding areas is required.
