In this role, you will lead the outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) team in Sydney, responsible for shaping the growth strategy and execution of the pipeline generation function. You'll report into the sales leadership structure and have direct accountability for team performance, strategy, and development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the BDR team to consistently convert sales-qualified leads into real pipeline opportunities
- Coaching team members to deeply understand and articulate Wayflyer's value proposition
- Maintaining team motivation and ensuring consistent achievement of monthly targets
- Serving as the bridge between BDR and Account Executive (AE) units to ensure smooth, friction-free handoffs
- Partnering with the Enablement function on onboarding, training, and ramp programs for new hires
- Identifying operational improvements in sales processes and collaborating with executive leadership to implement them
- Using data-driven insights to inform decisions and strategy

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience leading outbound sales teams with demonstrated results both as an individual contributor and as a manager
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets
- Exposure to Solution Selling and/or MEDDICC methodologies
- Experience in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and motivational skills
- Analytical mindset with comfort using data to drive decisions
- Emotional intelligence and ability to keep teams engaged and backed
