Mytos has developed fully-automated cell manufacturing sites powered by custom robotics to scale regenerative medicine treatments to millions of patients. The company has raised $37M, announced partnerships across multiple therapies (Parkinson's, hearing loss, bone repair), and within 12 months will have neurons grown on their machines going into Parkinson's patient brains. The team includes ex-Dyson engineers and Nature-published scientists, backed by Y Combinator. This is a foundational Business Development role reporting directly to the Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer. You will be the first dedicated BD hire, responsible for scaling the company's Proof of Value (PoV) study framework and building the sales pipeline from scratch. Key responsibilities: - Generate top-of-funnel pipeline through prospecting; this is a full-funnel role with no SDRs or marketing team support yet - Conduct discovery with scientific and economic buyers (VPs of Manufacturing, Heads of CMC, CEOs, founders) - Sell on value and patient impact, not price or features - Qualify deals rigorously using MEDDPICC methodology and make go/no-go decisions to protect pipeline quality - Design and execute proof of value studies with internal and customer teams to demonstrate technical fit and ROI - Capture and share field insights to inform product and business strategy - Work industry events, conferences, and dinners to build customer relationships - Go above and beyond to earn customer trust—including helping customers find consultants or suppliers You will be credible across multiple stakeholder types and comfortable selling an innovation from a company few have heard of. This role requires high ownership in a resource-constrained environment and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including to the UK and Asia. REQUIREMENTS: - Multiple years selling complex deals (six to seven figures, multi-stakeholder buying processes) into biotech, cell and gene therapy, bioprocessing, CDMO services, or life-science tools - Proven track record selling innovation from a lesser-known company (not relying on brand recognition) - High ownership in low-resource environments; ability to build your own lists, write decks, build ROI models, and take on work outside the typical job description - Scientific fluency sufficient to earn trust with technical buyers - Willingness to travel up to 40% including internationally (UK, Asia, US) - Rigour under speed and grit to sustain long hours driven by patient impact
