Vensure Employer Solutions, the largest privately held organization in HR technology and services, is hiring a Business Consultant based in San Antonio, Texas. This is an in-office role focused on new business development and sales execution.
You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through networking, channel partnerships, and self-generated leads. The role involves executing aggressive prospecting strategies to gain access to key decision makers, maintaining ownership of the entire sales cycle from initial contact through post-sale implementation, and negotiating pricing and service scope with prospective clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively generate new business opportunities within your designated territory
- Conduct thorough analysis and planning to tailor products and services to client needs
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor initiatives, and best practices
- Schedule and conduct regular meetings with clients during implementation phases
- Develop lead generation strategies and use Salesforce CRM to track activities
- Prepare executive summaries and presentations for clients
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas
- Complete accurate sales paperwork, expense reports, and activity reports
- Participate in monthly consulting meetings and provide coaching to team members
- Maintain relationships across departments to ensure effective service delivery
- Frequent domestic travel required for team meetings, client visits, conferences, and training

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (or combination of relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, or job training programs)
- At least 2 years of sales experience preferred
- Previous experience and proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Valid, non-restrictive driver's license required due to regular travel to client sites and company locations
- Proactive and highly motivated with strong focus on achieving new business goals
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills
- Understanding of sales methodologies, strategies, and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
- Sound business ethics and high standards of performance
