GetYourGuide is seeking a Brand Strategy Lead to own the quality, consistency, and distinctiveness of the brand globally while keeping it relevant locally. This is a senior individual contributor role (no direct reports) based in Berlin with hybrid flexibility.
You will own the complete brand strategy function: defining GetYourGuide's narrative, positioning, and unique value proposition; tracking competitive and market dynamics across geographies; translating strategy into actionable frameworks that Product, Supply, Analytics, and other teams can execute against; and establishing how the organization measures brand health and equity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining the brand framework, narrative, and positioning that defines what GetYourGuide stands for
- Understanding the market and customer globally and locally, turning competitive insights into strategic implications
- Building clear chains from strategic barriers to narrative angles to proof points to recommended levers
- Packaging strategy so cross-functional teams can act on it directly, bringing brand input into product and supply roadmaps early
- Contributing to and owning brand programs and initiatives that generate evidence for the narrative
- Defining and owning the brand health measurement framework and scorecard
Success requires judgment and taste in making narrative decisions; sharp analytical instincts with data and research; creativity and cultural fluency to identify fresh angles; strong stakeholder management and communication skills; and program management experience across functional teams. You should be comfortable operating as a senior IC where influence comes from the quality of thinking, not headcount.
Preferred experience includes 8+ years in brand strategy, positioning, or narrative development across multiple brands and markets; agency background; experience translating data analytics and insights into brand decisions; and a proven track record as a senior individual contributor.
