Salary: CAD 163,480 - 205,020 / annual

As Brand Designer, you will own brand design projects from creative brief through final delivery, creating high-quality creative assets across web, campaigns, events, social media, presentations, product marketing, and internal communications. You'll apply and extend Tailscale's visual identity across new formats and channels, build reusable templates and design systems to improve consistency and efficiency, and partner closely with Growth, Web, Product Marketing, Content, and Developer Relations teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences.
Key responsibilities include designing production-ready assets, presenting design concepts to stakeholders, balancing multiple projects while maintaining quality, and contributing ideas to improve creative scalability and effectiveness. You'll report to the Team Lead and work autonomously with minimal direction.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of professional brand, marketing, or visual design experience; strong portfolio demonstrating design fundamentals (color theory, accessibility, typography, layout, storytelling); fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud; experience designing for digital marketing, websites, campaigns, and brand systems; strong understanding of production-ready design; excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight; cross-functional collaboration experience; high attention to detail; comfort with constructive feedback; and curiosity about the technical networking space.
Nice-to-have skills include B2B SaaS or developer-focused product design experience, design systems knowledge, motion design, illustration/icon design, basic HTML/CSS understanding, growth marketing support, startup environment experience, and junior designer mentoring.
