Simile is a venture-backed AI company that simulates human behavior at scale to help enterprises make better decisions. Founded five months ago, the company has already achieved $200M+ in funding at a $2B valuation and counts F100 companies like CVS Health, Wealthfront, Deloitte, and Gallup as customers. The company is building the foundational infrastructure to represent and understand human behavior in an increasingly AI-driven world. As Brand Designer, you will own the visual and strategic identity of a new category. Your core responsibilities include defining the visual language that makes simulating human behavior feel concrete and credible to enterprise executives and research leaders. You'll build comprehensive brand systems—typography, motion, imagery, and guidelines—that scale as the company grows from early adopters to market leaders. You will drive brand work end-to-end: from strategy and positioning through concept development to shipped execution across web, video, print, events, and social channels. This includes art directing work created by others, ensuring quality and coherence across all touchpoints. You'll translate complex positioning into visuals that land with a high-stakes audience making consequential business decisions. The role demands both systems thinking and craft excellence. You'll build the frameworks and templates that maintain quality at scale while personally holding the line on details like kerning and timing. You'll work at startup velocity—shipping, gathering feedback, and iterating rapidly—while maintaining an ambitious, rigorous brand presence. You should bring exceptional portfolio work demonstrating brand systems thinking (not just execution), range across multiple marketing surfaces, and experience making abstract or technical concepts feel concrete. Elite fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and composition are essential. You'll need fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, plus genuine curiosity about AI design tools and generative models.
