Glossier is seeking a multidisciplinary Senior Brand Designer to join the Creative team and help bring the next chapter of the brand to life across digital, print, product, retail, and experiential design.
Reporting to the Director of Campaign & Design, you will be a close creative partner across Glossier's 360° campaigns and brand moments, helping develop big ideas and carrying them through to thoughtful, highly crafted execution across every touchpoint. You will be equally excited by building a campaign world from the ground up and obsessing over the details that make that world feel complete.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner closely with the Director of Campaign & Design to concept and execute Glossier's 360° campaigns, product launches, collaborations, and key brand moments across digital, print, OOH, retail, experiential, product, and merchandise.
- Translate campaign concepts into cohesive visual identities and scalable design systems that can live across channels while maintaining a clear, recognizable point of view.
- Work closely with Art Direction, Copy, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Retail, Production, and other cross-functional partners to solve creative challenges and bring ideas to life.
- Design physical brand expressions that push how Glossier shows up in the physical world, including retail flagships, activations, events, signage, merchandise, mailers, and other 3D brand touchpoints.
- Bring a strong understanding of typography, composition, color, image-making, materials, and production to every project, with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Work fluidly between conceptual and executional thinking, and own projects through final production, including preparing mechanicals and production-ready files.
- Build thoughtful and organized working systems across Figma and Adobe Creative Suite that allow ideas and campaigns to scale efficiently across the broader Creative team.
- Continually research new materials, technologies, creative tools, workflows, and modes of expression that can expand what design at Glossier looks and feels like.
You should think beyond traditional graphic design and be excited about where design is going next. You are constantly looking at culture, technology, physical spaces, emerging tools, fine art, and new ways for people to experience brands. You are curious by nature, highly collaborative, comfortable solving problems, and excited to experiment while maintaining an exceptional level of craft.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of design experience, preferably within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, culture, or creative studio.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional brand design and conceptual thinking across multiple mediums, with strong examples of both digital and physical work.
- Experience developing visual identities and design systems across 360° campaigns including print, digital, mailers, merchandise, retail, and experiential or environmental design.
- A sophisticated understanding of typography, composition, color, image, hierarchy, materials, and visual storytelling.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with a strong understanding of both digital and print production workflows.
- Experience collaborating with fabricators, printers, vendors, producers, developers, or other external partners to translate design intent into physical execution.
- Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to take an ambiguous brief, ask the right questions, and turn it into a compelling creative solution.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
- A collaborative working style and the ability to partner closely with designers, art directors, copywriters, marketers, producers, product teams, retail teams, and external creative partners.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with 3D design, rendering, spatial design, or environmental visualization.
- Familiarity with motion design, After Effects, Premiere, or other moving-image tools.
- Experience working directly with fabricators and translating creative concepts into built environments.
- A demonstrated interest in emerging creative technology, AI, generative tools, or other new approaches to design and image-making.
