Bland AI is seeking a Brand Design Engineer to own the visual quality and technical implementation of its marketing presence. This hybrid design + engineering role combines exceptional design taste with hands-on frontend development to build and maintain Bland's brand systems, marketing website, and high-impact campaign experiences.
You will take end-to-end ownership of Bland's marketing website, responsible for keeping it current with product launches, case studies, and messaging while continuously improving design, UX, performance, and accessibility. You'll develop and maintain visual identity systems across typography, color, layout, illustration, motion, and interaction—creating reusable systems that allow the marketing team to move quickly without sacrificing quality.
This role requires working directly in a custom codebase using modern AI coding tools like Claude Code to prototype, iterate, and ship designs to production. You'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Content, Growth, and Engineering teams to bring new products and narratives to life through compelling visual experiences. You'll also establish quality standards and audit the site for inconsistencies, broken experiences, and improvement opportunities.
Must-haves include exceptional design taste with strong instincts around typography, composition, and visual storytelling; solid design fundamentals and systems thinking; technical comfort with frontend code (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React); familiarity with AI-native design and coding tools; high agency and ownership mentality; and the ability to move quickly without lowering the creative bar. You should be collaborative with marketers and engineers while maintaining strong design opinions.
Nice-to-haves include formal training in design, graphic design, or interaction design.
