Ben is a benefits platform that connects the entire benefits ecosystem for employers, employees, brokers, and providers. As Bid Manager, you will own the end-to-end bid process for enterprise deals, a critical function driving Ben's growth through tenders and RFPs.
You will report directly to the COO and have high visibility across every major enterprise opportunity. Your responsibilities include:
- Owning the complete bid lifecycle: from RFP intake through content production, review cycles, submission, and post-submission follow-up
- Writing and editing proposal responses, determining the right depth and narrative for procurement teams and C-suite evaluators
- Qualifying and prioritizing tenders to allocate limited team capacity effectively, knowing when to pursue and when to walk away
- Analyzing win/loss data and bid scoring feedback to continuously improve Ben's submission quality and competitiveness
- Coordinating inputs from Legal, Product, Security, and Commercial teams to ensure comprehensive, commercially sound bids
- Supporting the sales team with clear briefs, templates, and tight deadlines to streamline their bid contributions
- Reviewing commercial terms and pricing to flag unusual requirements before submission
This is a newly created function at Ben, giving you the opportunity to build the bid process from the ground up in an AI-native environment where automation and AI tooling are already embedded in team workflows.
You'll work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where you own projects end-to-end and are responsible for delivering quality outcomes. The role requires comfort with ambiguity, a willingness to challenge assumptions, and the ability to create processes as you build them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience running RFP and tender processes in B2B SaaS or enterprise software, with exposure to the full cycle and operating rhythm
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent bids under pressure in a lean team environment
- Familiarity with enterprise procurement, including compliance requirements, evaluation criteria, and panel processes
- Track record of building or significantly developing a bid function from scratch
- AI-native mindset with hands-on experience using AI to automate workflows and thinking deeply about role evolution with AI
- Excellent writing skills with ability to translate complex products into clear, persuasive responses
- Strong design sensitivity and visual taste; ability to identify what stands out to prospective clients
- Comfort with fast-paced environments, accountability for outcomes, challenging the status quo, and building processes in less structured settings
- Hands-on experience required; confidence in contributing meaningfully from day one
