As Benefits Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and administration of global benefits programs supporting Atoms's workforce. You'll manage relationships with benefits brokers, vendors, and carrier representatives, overseeing global and US annual renewals and leading open enrollment planning. Your responsibilities include budget management, identifying and recommending benefits enhancements, and managing US compliance filings and audits (5500, state filings).
You'll provide strategic guidance to the People team on benefits administration, including employee inquiries, claims assistance, eligibility, billing, COBRA, ACA, leave of absence, and disability support. You'll conduct benchmarking and gap analysis to ensure program competitiveness and cost efficiency, identify process improvements, and manage a small team of benefits associates.
Required experience includes designing and managing global benefits programs across multiple countries, vendor and broker management including renewals and negotiations, benefits administration (open enrollment, renewals, program administration), stakeholder management with HR/Finance/leadership, and experience improving benefits processes using HRIS or benefits platforms.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in San Francisco with five-day-per-week onsite expectations. The company is venture-backed and focused on transforming physical industries through automation and AI.
