Salary: USD 66,300 - 78,000 / annual

SmithRx is a venture-backed healthtech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector with a next-generation drug acquisition platform. The company has onboarded hundreds of thousands of members since 2016 and is rapidly scaling across the country. As a Benefits Configuration Analyst, you will be a key operational resource supporting cross-functional teams during client implementations and managing pharmacy benefit plans across various platforms. You'll work directly with clients to understand their benefit plan requirements and build accurate, compliant benefit configurations that drive product quality and member experience. Key responsibilities include: - Collaborating with clients to identify and document benefit plan requirements, then building and maintaining pharmacy benefit plans on assigned platforms - Monitoring plan data integrity and organizing benefit configuration structures for assigned accounts - Maintaining prior authorizations, step therapy rules, and formulary updates under clinical team direction - Supporting new client implementations from setup through go-live testing, post-launch auditing, and stabilization - Troubleshooting claims adjudication issues and resolving member inquiries in partnership with support and customer success teams - Identifying and driving process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency - Communicating project status and escalating issues appropriately across the organization You'll need 4+ years of experience in payer operations, claims processing, or benefit configuration. Strong analytical and Excel skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities (written, verbal, and presentation). You should be a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, approaches problems creatively, and balances autonomy with collaboration. The role demands attention to detail, execution focus, and adaptability in a growing technology company.
