PayJoy, a Public Benefit Corporation and mission-driven fintech, is seeking a Global Benefits Administrator to manage health, welfare, retirement, and supplemental benefit programs across 11 countries. This is a senior individual contributor role operating with minimal direction as a subject-matter expert in global benefits administration.
Key responsibilities include administering health, welfare, retirement/pension, income protection, wellness, and supplemental benefit programs across multiple regions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery. You will serve as the subject-matter expert on statutory and supplemental benefits requirements in each country, monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring ongoing compliance with local laws, filings, and reporting obligations.
You will lead annual open enrollment and renewal cycles for each country, coordinating timelines, plan changes, system configuration, and employee communications. The role involves managing relationships with global and local brokers, insurers, third-party administrators, and pension providers, holding vendors accountable to service levels and supporting renewal negotiations and benchmarking.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate benefits data in the HRIS/benefits platform, auditing records to ensure data integrity and payroll accuracy, and reconciling vendor invoices. You will analyze benefits costs, utilization, and market trends to support annual benefits budgeting and provide reporting and recommendations to leadership.
You will act as the escalation point for complex employee benefits questions across regions and time zones, delivering clear, culturally appropriate communications and enrollment materials. The role also involves designing and implementing benefits programs for new-country entries, expansions, and M&A integration, leading process-improvement and automation initiatives, and providing guidance to less-experienced team members.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, plus 6+ years of proven benefits administration experience with significant international/multi-country exposure. You must have in-depth understanding of statutory and supplemental benefits across multiple regions (North America, EMEA, and/or APAC), with LatAm focus as a plus. Hands-on experience with HRIS/benefits systems (Rippling, Workday) and benefits administration platforms is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to manage complex projects across time zones, and fluent English proficiency are required. Additional languages relevant to covered regions are a plus.
