You will lead the European BDR team and own new business development across the region. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will spend significant time in call reviews, pipeline management, and pitches. You will work closely with Account Executives to drive opportunities from meeting booked through closed won, and report to Alex Marber, BDR leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching: Run live and recorded call coaching, group coaching pods, and weekly deal reviews. Build depth in discovery and qualification so reps uncover pain rather than deliver scripts. This is where new leaders can make their mark.
- Targeting & Pipeline Quality: Own account selection and contact seniority. Hold the bar on who the team pursues and ensure reps work the full buying group rather than easiest-to-reach titles.
- Enablement & Ramp: Own onboarding, ramp, and the BDR playbook including sequences, messaging, rules of engagement, and CRM discipline. Rebuild enablement material to reflect how the company actually wins today.
- Performance & Standards: Set targets, run weekly rhythms, and manage performance honestly and early. Build a forecasting view across meetings booked, sales accepted opportunities, and closed won deals. Hire people who raise the bar.
- AE Partnership: Keep opportunities moving post-meeting-book. Build strong working relationships with AEs and feed back to marketing and leadership on what is landing in market.
Requirements:
- Carried a number and hit it; can still get on a call and demonstrate how it's done.
- Can listen to a call, identify the two things that would change the outcome, and coach the rep to change them.
- Identify funnel leaks before asking for more dials; comfortable working through data to find conversion issues.
- Prefer fewer, better conversations and can hold that line in a tight month.
- Comfortable building process where it doesn't exist; prefer to write it rather than wait.
- Communicate early and directly; do not sit on bad news.
- Able to lead across markets, coach reps in different languages, cultures, and buying norms. Experience selling or coaching across European markets is key. French or Spanish is an advantage but not required.
- Drive a culture of fun and engagement; take work seriously but yourself less so.
