Salary: USD 132,888 - 166,110 / annual
Brex is a fintech platform enabling companies to spend smarter across 200+ markets through corporate cards, banking, spend management, and AI-native automation. The Banking Relationship Manager role is part of a newly formed Banking Team focused on driving net-new revenue and expanding customer adoption of Brex's business account suite.
In this position, you will partner directly with Founders, C-Suite Executives, VPs of Finance, and Controllers to upsell checking, treasury, and sweep products, ultimately increasing total Assets Under Management (AUM) for Brex. You'll work with companies at all stages—from early-stage startups to large mid-market and enterprise customers—managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Upselling business account suite products (checking, treasury, sweep) to existing card-only customers
- Creating Security Account Control Agreements (SACA) or Cash Covenants to provide higher credit limits
- Serving as a trusted account advisor through strategic inbound and outbound sales
- Engaging businesses across all sales cycle stages: prospecting, demonstrations, onboarding, and closing
- Developing strategic adoption plans with cross-functional teams to drive AUM and revenue
- Collaborating with Account Executives, Relationship Managers, Customer Success, and Client Sales for referrals
- Participating in daily training and enablement for continuous self-development
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid structure requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks of fully remote work annually.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of outbound sales experience in financial services, fintech, or with early-stage companies
- Excellent communication skills to engage C-Suite decision makers
- Proven track record of carrying quota and hitting/exceeding targets
- B.A. or B.S. degree from a 4-year university
Bonus qualifications:
- Series 7 & 63 licenses (active or able to be reactivated)
- Familiarity with sales tools (Gong, Salesforce, Outreach, etc.)
