Sensor Tower (now part of Data.ai) is a digital intelligence platform serving 2,500+ enterprises with insights into market trends, advertising, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior across mobile, web, and gaming. The company processes tens of terabytes of data daily to power its SaaS platform.
You will join the backend engineering team to build and improve features for AppMagic, Sensor Tower's app market intelligence platform targeting SMBs. In this role, you'll participate in the full development lifecycle—from design and implementation through quality assurance and release. Your responsibilities include parsing and data aggregation, API design, database optimization, refactoring, and performance tuning. You'll write and debug complex SQL queries, perform code reviews, and suggest process improvements.
The engineering culture emphasizes simplicity over over-engineering, code quality and readability, extreme ownership of problems at their root cause, and ruthless prioritization of impact. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and contribute meaningful features from day one.
Tech stack: Golang, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes.
Requirements: 3+ years of professional Go experience (or equivalent demonstrated coding ability via GitHub contributions). Strong SQL skills with comfort writing complex queries and knowing when to use ORMs vs. raw SQL. Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus. You must be able to pass technical interviews in both Russian and English, and should have a thoughtful, hands-on approach to using AI tools in development. Above all, you should be curious, proactive, and focused on product excellence.
