The company is on a mission to make electric mobility accessible and affordable globally. You will join the US Operations team as a Business Development Manager based in Los Angeles, leading the expansion of Upway's partner network in the Pacific Northwest region. This is a high-ownership, individual contributor role for someone who thrives in outbound sales, builds strong relationships, and delivers results in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include owning the entire partner sales cycle from cold outreach through deal closing and onboarding. You'll drive high-volume prospecting via email, phone, and in-person visits, particularly in the first 1–2 months. You'll build and grow the partner network across independent bike shops, large retailers, and OEMs. You'll source and negotiate inventory of second-hand electric bikes, travel extensively to meet partners and understand their needs, and act as the face of Upway in the market. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless experiences, and deliver against ambitious targets while maintaining high execution standards. Required qualifications: 3+ years in business development, B2B sales, sourcing, or partner management, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment. Proven track record of owning a sales pipeline and closing deals. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with ability to build trust and influence decisions. High energy and self-motivation, comfortable working independently and managing ambiguity. Experience with in-person client interactions and field sales. Strong organizational skills and bias for action. Passion for sustainability and mobility. Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%).
