Protege is building a platform to solve AI's data problem by facilitating secure, efficient, and privacy-centric exchange of AI training data. The company is backed by world-class investors and powers partnerships with ambitious AI teams.
You will lead go-to-market efforts for Protege's Audio vertical, one of the company's newest and fastest-evolving business lines. Working closely with an experienced Audio GM, you'll be a generalist responsible for identifying customer demand, sourcing high-quality audio data partners, and moving deals through the complete lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include: sourcing and qualifying audio partners based on customer demand (evaluating fit, rights, scale, language coverage, quality, and availability); running partner and customer conversations to understand use cases and translate requests into clear data delivery plans; owning the process of gathering and preparing sample data including organizing audio, transcripts, and metadata; project-managing audio deals from feasibility through delivery while keeping stakeholders aligned; supporting outbound to audio companies and model builders through targeted research and persistent follow-up; identifying bottlenecks and creating lightweight tools and processes to improve efficiency; and collaborating with the Audio GM, data researchers, engineers, sales, product, and legal teams to surface risks and make sound decisions on rights, privacy, and delivery tradeoffs.
Success milestones: by 30 days, you'll have learned Protege's audio catalog, active deals, and market use cases while beginning outreach and sample management; by 60 days, you'll independently manage partner conversations and deal-delivery work with clear communication and improving speed; by 90 days, you'll operate as a trusted generalist across sourcing, samples, partner coordination, and delivery while establishing repeatable processes.
You bring experience in partnerships, business development, sales, solutions, operations, or customer-facing project management. You demonstrate strong ability to manage multiple moving pieces, drive follow-up, and own work from problem definition through completion. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, comfort with outbounding and relationship-building, and sound judgment around prioritization and risk escalation. You have interest in audio, media, speech AI, or training data (you don't need to be a researcher but should be curious to learn concepts like transcripts, diarization, channel separation, language coverage, and metadata). You bring bias to action, high ownership, and ability to bring order to chaos without waiting for perfect playbooks.
