Precision AQ is a leading payer marketing agency supporting global pharmaceutical and life sciences clients in achieving commercial excellence. The Associate Vice President, Clinical Services leads clinical content development and provides strategic direction for teams and initiatives within the market access practice.
Key responsibilities include overseeing content development for 5-7 assigned accounts, developing and mentoring Clinical Services team members, and driving department initiatives such as onboarding, recruitment, and innovation. The role requires independently developing clinical content, acting as the medical lead for brand planning and strategic development, and ensuring account-specific standard operating procedures are maintained. The AVP will supervise 6+ clinical services team members directly and indirectly, including at least one Senior Medical Director or two Medical Directors, providing performance feedback and coaching to support professional development.
The position demands deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturer strategies, managed markets, and marketing business models. The AVP will mediate escalated issues between internal and external stakeholders, allocate resources across accounts and workstreams, and participate in business development and client strategy initiatives as needed.
Required qualifications include a BA/BS in life sciences or English (with pharmaceutical/healthcare agency experience), minimum 9 years in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries, and expertise in managed markets promotional content development. Strong proficiency with AMA style, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and scientific search engines (PubMed, Google Scholar) is essential. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication, analytical ability, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for managed care audiences.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (PharmD or PhD) and expertise in healthcare business and scientific literature evaluation for managed care audiences.
