Glossier is seeking an Associate Store Director for its Las Vegas retail location. This is a people-first leadership role focused on driving exceptional customer and employee experiences in a fast-paced, hospitality-minded retail environment. You will serve as a key member of the store's leadership team, reporting to the Store Director and sharing responsibility for all people, customer experience, and business objectives. Your primary focus will be on leading, inspiring, and developing a best-in-class team while fostering an inclusive, equitable, and safe environment for both employees and customers. Key responsibilities include: **Team Leadership:** Drive a people-first culture rooted in authenticity, integrity, inclusion, equity, and empathy. Partner with HR to build inclusive talent acquisition pipelines. Develop and empower team members through coaching, feedback, and recognition. Support clear communication, psychological safety, and alignment with Glossier's mission and values. Promote completion of all training initiatives. **Customer Experience Leadership:** Model and coach Glossier's customer experience principles to ensure memorable, inspiring interactions. Develop accountability for service standards through coaching and feedback. Spend at least 60% of your time on the sales floor working directly with customers and your team. Work 3-4 Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts per week. Monitor customer feedback and collaborate on experience improvement strategies. **Business Leadership:** Analyze business results and identify operational improvement strategies. Create effective team schedules balancing customer experience and payroll targets. Develop mastery of an assigned Division of Responsibility (DOR)—one of: Product (product knowledge champion), Customer Experience (service fundamentals coach), Logistics (inventory expert and Safety Captain), Visual Merchandising (VM standards), Operations (retail tech and supply management), or Partnerships & Facilities (HQ liaison). Serve as champion within your DOR, developing initiatives to drive efficiency and business goals. Participate in budget management and operational compliance. The company emphasizes a hospitality mindset, authenticity, and creating environments where employees can develop their full potential. **Requirements:** - 3+ years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment - Demonstrated experience growing highly capable, diverse teams and investing in manager/team member development - Experience promoting a people-first employee culture with an engaging, welcoming, inclusive environment - Demonstrated ability to employ outstanding communication practices—ongoing, clear, structured, promoting transparency and accountability - Proven ability to motivate and inspire teams, maintaining high engagement and strong morale - Demonstrated empathy and understanding while driving action - Willingness to roll up sleeves and jump in when needed - Track record of delivering measurable financial, operational, and customer experience results - Ability to make difficult tradeoffs balancing short- and long-term objectives - Passion for building exceptional, detail-oriented customer and employee experiences - Passion for beauty as a conduit for connection and personal narrative - Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Highly skilled in defining and executing operational efficiencies (a plus) - Experience in scaling/start-up environments and testing new experiential concepts (a plus)
