Oscar Health is seeking an Associate, Risk/Compliance to join its Compliance team. Oscar is a health insurance company built on a full-stack technology platform, founded in 2012 with a mission to create health insurance that behaves like a doctor in the family. In this role, you will ensure Oscar complies with industry specifications, standards, regulations, and laws. You will review operational practices, create and enforce procedures, and perform regulatory reviews across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Audit Compliance, you will be responsible for partnering with all relevant departments to maintain current compliance levels and develop compliance improvement plans where required. Key responsibilities include: - Partner with departments to ensure compliance standards are met - Provide training to team members on regulatory compliance requirements - Develop and implement compliance improvement plans - Conduct regular audits in all required areas to assess compliance levels - Prepare for and conduct audits alongside external regulatory authorities - Assist with State DOI site visits and external audits - Develop reports for the governing body - Delegate tasks to other departments to bring compliance levels up You will need a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, plus 1+ years in health plan compliance. You must have 2+ years of experience with State DOI health insurance rules and regulations, CMS ACA rules and requirements, and 2+ years managing high-volume, complicated projects with strong attention to detail. Bonus qualifications include MLR, HCRA, or CMS APTC audit experience; healthcare finance background; compliance certifications (CHC, CCEC); fluency with State DOI audit and reporting obligations; and experience in health tech or startup environments. This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing in Dallas, TX. The base pay range is $87,188–$114,434 per year, with eligibility for employee benefits, unlimited vacation, and annual performance bonuses.
