Anduril Industries seeks an Associate Program Director for the Connected Warfare division to lead strategic engagement with U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) programs and drive rapid fielding of advanced command-and-control (C4I) technologies. This role bridges technical innovation and military operational requirements, requiring deep expertise in defense program management and Marine Corps doctrine.
You will own senior leader engagement within key USMC programs, translating complex technical principles into compelling operational outcomes. Primary responsibilities include driving product strategy for USMC Command and Control initiatives by establishing priorities based on operational impact, technical feasibility, and customer requirements. You will proactively engage with the acquisition community, including Program Acquisition Executives (PAEs) and program offices, to understand and influence USMC technology transformation initiatives.
The role demands cross-functional coordination across Anduril's business lines to deliver unified solutions. You will work closely with engineering teams to translate operational concepts and doctrine into actionable technical requirements, ensuring solutions fit USMC workflows, tactics, and communication infrastructure. You will also develop training materials, operational playbooks, and user documentation tailored to end-users, enabling rapid adoption of Anduril capabilities.
Key activities include embedding with Marines during exercises and demonstrations, assisting in business development efforts, and collaborating with technical teams to architect solutions for high-priority challenges. Success requires exceptional communication skills to bridge technical and operational communities, proven relationship-building across government and industry stakeholders, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
Required qualifications include 12-15+ years managing complex technical programs in defense or national security, strong understanding of Marine Corps C2 systems and warfighting functions, and an active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required. Willingness to travel up to 50% to field environments is essential. Preferred qualifications include USMC experience, War College attendance, JADC2 initiative experience, and software/systems engineering background.
