Checkout.com is a global fintech payments platform processing over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. This newly created Associate role in the Product Control team sits at the intersection of finance, product, and engineering, supporting the accounting and financial reporting for new product launches and trading activity. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and New Products teams to ensure all offerings meet finance, data, and accounting requirements. Key responsibilities include: supporting new product testing procedures by assessing data flow completeness and accuracy; coordinating issue resolution and formal sign-off; performing core accounting processes and balance sheet reconciliations for key trading accounts (scheme debtors, merchant creditors, FX clearing); serving as subject matter expert for your domain under IFRS requirements; identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation for efficiency and internal controls; setting up robust documentation and processes for period-end close and audit purposes; and collaborating with internal and external auditors. You'll work in a high-volume, dynamic regulatory environment where you'll manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, find end-to-end solutions to complex issues, and work cross-functionally with remote teams across Finance, Product, Engineering, and Data. The role offers the opportunity to deepen your understanding of fintech products and high-transaction-volume operations. Checkout.com operates a hybrid model with three days per week in the London office to support collaboration. The company emphasizes ownership, meaningful work from day one, and growth opportunities for high performers.
