Salary: USD 80,000 - 110,000 / annual
Via is transforming transportation through technology-enabled shared mobility services. As Associate General Manager on the Operations team, you will oversee daily on-site operations for Via's service in Baton Rouge, managing a team of local field operators and ensuring safe, reliable, accessible transportation for riders.
You will own the full operational scope: fleet management, driver supply optimization, compliance, and real-time decision-making on service delivery. Your responsibilities include managing the complete driver employee lifecycle—scheduling, PTO approvals, performance conversations, and policy adherence. You'll balance demand forecasting with vehicle availability, ensuring appropriate service levels throughout operating hours.
A critical part of the role is serving as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, community leaders, and local organizations. You'll use data and technology to diagnose performance issues, implement efficiency improvements, and enhance rider experience. You must ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
You'll lead, coach, and develop an engaged driver team, fostering a collaborative and energetic environment. The role requires comfort with high responsibility, fast-paced decision-making, and adaptability to changing conditions. You'll be expected on-site 4–5 days per week, with potential early mornings or evenings.
Required: minimum 4–6 years of operations management experience and a Bachelor's degree. You should be an independent self-starter, detail-oriented executor, exceptional leader, and creative problem-solver. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Baton Rouge, LA.
