Airwallex, a $11B fintech platform serving 250,000+ businesses globally, is seeking an Associate Director of Talent Acquisition to lead recruiting across Product, Design, and Solutions Engineering functions. You will manage a global team of recruiters and serve as the primary talent partner to the Chief Product Officer, Global Head of Design, and Global Head of Solutions Engineering.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing a high-performing global recruiting team; shaping hiring strategy aligned with business priorities and headcount goals; providing market intelligence and data-driven workforce planning recommendations to executives; designing and optimizing recruiting processes, interview frameworks, and assessment standards; using recruiting metrics and pipeline data to identify bottlenecks and drive operational improvements; and partnering with Employer Branding and People teams to position Airwallex as an employer of choice.
You bring 12+ years of recruiting experience, including 5+ years leading global teams, with a proven track record of building high-performing organizations. You have deep experience recruiting for Product Management, Product Strategy, Design, Solutions Engineering, or related disciplines in technology or fintech environments. You demonstrate the ability to partner with and influence C-level leaders on talent strategy, hiring standards, and workforce planning. You are analytically strong, comfortable with ATS platforms (Ashby, Greenhouse) and recruiting metrics, and have designed structured interview frameworks and calibration processes at scale.
Preferred experience includes work at high-growth, global fintech or payments companies with multi-regional hiring across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. You thrive in fast-moving environments with high standards and evolving priorities, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action. You are curious, adaptable, and passionate about building teams that shape the future of financial technology.
