Airwallex is a $11B fintech platform serving 250,000+ businesses globally with unified payments, banking, spend management, and treasury solutions. The company operates across 27 offices with 2,300+ employees and is backed by leading investors including Sequoia, Visa, Mastercard, and T. Rowe Price.
The CEO Office is a small, high-trust team working directly with executive leadership on the company's most critical strategic and operational priorities. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, tackling complex, company-defining problems across global expansion, product strategy, financial infrastructure, organizational scaling, and AI transformation.
You will work closely with senior leaders across product, engineering, finance, commercial, legal, operations, and regional teams on high-priority initiatives including: scaling new products and business lines globally; international expansion and market entry strategy; regulatory and banking infrastructure initiatives; organizational effectiveness and operating model design; commercial acceleration and go-to-market execution; M&A evaluation and post-merger integration; AI-enabled operational transformation; and cross-functional strategic initiatives tied to company priorities.
The role requires operating in high-context, high-accountability environments with imperfect information and fast pace. You will help frame problems, drive alignment, and ensure complex initiatives move from conception to measurable outcomes. This is designed for individuals who thrive in ambiguity, want to accelerate their development, and are ready to take on increasingly broad leadership responsibility.
You are intellectually curious, highly structured in thinking, and execution-oriented. You learn quickly, communicate clearly and concisely, have strong business judgment, balance detail orientation with speed, and operate with high ownership and accountability. You enjoy building rather than observing and can move fluidly between strategic thinking and practical problem-solving.
Minimum qualifications: 5–8 years in top-tier consulting, high-growth tech, investing, strategic finance, or similarly high-performance environments; demonstrated track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes; exceptional problem-solving and structured thinking; strong executive communication skills; ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; high commercial judgment and operational pragmatism; bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred: fintech or regulated industry experience; direct experience with senior executives or founders; consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategic finance background; experience scaling products, markets, or operations internationally; strong data analysis and business modeling capabilities.
