Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an Associate Director of Finance to lead the Maritime business line's finance function. This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on execution, overseeing financial planning, analysis, and program finance for a rapidly scaling division.
You will manage a dedicated finance team, providing fractional CFO-level support to Maritime business leaders. Key responsibilities include developing and executing financial forecasts and budgets, preparing division and program-level financial reporting, and analyzing actual performance against forecasts to identify trends and variances. You'll lead the development of executive-level reporting and present financial insights to senior management.
The role requires deep collaboration across the organization—partnering with Data, Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to drive data-informed decision-making. You'll own performance dashboards and KPI monitoring, develop customer program reporting and invoicing processes, and identify opportunities to improve business performance and finance systems.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA/CFA preferred), 5-10 years of finance experience in Defense, Large Manufacturing, or Government contracting, with 3-5 years in a leadership position. You must demonstrate advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency, experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Foundry), and a track record of owning problems end-to-end. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, technically precise, a critical thinker, and comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. US work authorization and security clearance eligibility are required.
