Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatments, seeks an Associate Director of Marketing to lead commercial strategy for Hepatitis Delta (HDV) diagnostics and patient identification in the U.S. market. This role serves as the commercial lead for HDV diagnostics, responsible for building scalable capabilities that increase testing rates, identify undiagnosed patients, reduce diagnostic leakage, and improve the pathway from diagnosis through referral to care. The Associate Director will develop and execute a multi-year HDV patient-identification and diagnostics roadmap, translating pre-launch investment into a launch-ready patient population. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing the U.S. commercial diagnostics and patient-finding strategy for HDV, with accountability for testing, diagnosis, and linkage to care outcomes - Leading commercial initiatives to increase adoption of appropriate HDV testing approaches, including reflex and double-reflex testing within health systems and laboratory workflows - Building and managing strategic partnerships with national and regional diagnostic laboratories, health systems, and testing organizations - Identifying barriers and developing scalable diagnostic solutions that improve testing workflows - Leading innovative patient-finding pilots utilizing EMR data, claims data, and population-health approaches - Partnering with Commercial Analytics to identify geographic, demographic, and provider opportunities for increased HDV testing - Developing and executing community activation strategies focused on populations with elevated HDV burden - Building partnerships with patient advocacy organizations and community stakeholders to develop culturally relevant disease education and testing initiatives - Managing budgets for diagnostics, patient-finding initiatives, pilots, partnerships, and external vendors - Collaborating closely with Field Teams, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Market Access, and Commercial Operations to ensure alignment and effective execution - Establishing clear performance measures for diagnostics and patient-finding programs The ideal candidate is strategic, entrepreneurial, analytical, and highly collaborative—comfortable building new capabilities, testing innovative approaches, and driving initiatives from strategy through execution and measurement. This role requires deep engagement with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to translate market, customer, diagnostic, and community insights into actionable programs.
