You will join the Vehicle OS customer program team as an Associate Customer Technical Program Manager, owning the day-to-day execution layer of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) programs with a major global automotive OEM. This is an early-career role designed for growth into full program ownership, reporting to a senior Customer Technical Program Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the program backlog in Jira: translate customer requirements into well-formed tickets, maintain labels and scope tags, keep status and blockers current
- Own defect and blocker management: triage customer-reported issues, drive severity alignment, chase resolution across engineering teams, prepare recurring bug reviews
- Track release scope and milestone readiness, surfacing slips, at-risk features, and dependencies early
- Produce recurring program reporting: weekly status, delivery summaries, story-point tracking, escalation trackers, sprint showcases, and steering committee inputs
- Serve as working-level point of contact for customer program and engineering teams on ticket status, scope questions, and dependency follow-ups
- Maintain program source of truth in Confluence: requirement-to-feature mappings, delivery trackers, decision logs, meeting notes, and process documentation
- Support onsite integration, test bench, and bootcamp activities by coordinating schedules and logistics
- Close loops across Slack, email, and standups to ensure open questions are answered and commitments documented
- Identify leverage opportunities to automate reporting, grooming, and analysis work so the team focuses on judgment calls
You will be in customer meetings from your first week, and the quality of your tracking directly supports the program's reporting and health.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in program or project management, engineering, technical consulting, or technical customer-facing role (strong new graduates with relevant internship experience considered)
- Excellent written communication and judgment to know when to escalate versus resolve independently
- Comfort working directly with external customers, including in difficult conversations
- Strong organizational instincts: maintain your own trackers, notice when threads go quiet, close things out without being chased
- Technical literacy to follow engineering discussions about software features, builds, releases, and integration issues; ability to ask clarifying questions that unblock work
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence, or demonstrated ability to get fluent quickly
- Willingness to work across time zones with globally distributed engineering and customer teams
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field
Nice to have:
- Automotive industry experience (OEM or Tier-1 supplier)
- Exposure to IVI, infotainment, Android Automotive (AAOS), or embedded software programs
- Familiarity with automotive development standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR)
- Data fluency to turn ticket data into reporting (JQL, spreadsheets, SQL, light Python)
- Experience using AI tooling to automate reporting and ticket workflows
- Experience supporting customer-facing programs governed by Statement of Work with defined milestones
- Additional languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish)
