As Associate Chief Medical Officer reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, you will bridge clinical expertise and product development for healthcare AI products. You'll work across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to ensure products meet clinical needs, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
Key responsibilities include: providing clinical expertise to inform AI product design and iteration; collaborating with product managers and engineers on requirements and roadmaps; serving as clinical subject matter expert in client meetings and product demonstrations; traveling to customer sites for clinical support and feedback gathering; ensuring products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards; validating clinical relevance and accuracy of AI models; partnering with GTM teams to translate clinical insights into solutions; mentoring internal teams on medical trends and technologies; and advocating for evidence-based, patient-centered approaches throughout product development.
Required qualifications: MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical licensure; 5+ years clinical practice experience; demonstrated healthcare product development experience (digital health, medical devices, or AI applications); ability to translate clinical needs into product specifications; strong understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA); exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders; East Coast location preferred with 20-40% travel.
Nice-to-have qualifications include health tech/startup experience, cross-disciplinary team leadership, AI/ML healthcare familiarity, and user-centric design expertise.
