OpenFX is building cross-border payment infrastructure for institutions, backed by top-tier investors (Accel, Lightspeed, NFX) with a team from JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, and others. The Assistant Manager – Global AP & Financial Accounting will own the end-to-end accounts payable function across all OpenFX group entities while maintaining accurate books for the India entity. This is a hands-on role managing a high-volume, multi-entity, multi-currency AP cycle. Reporting to the Finance Lead, India, you'll partner closely with the global finance team and local consultants across jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include: Global Accounts Payable: Own the complete AP cycle across group entities—receive, verify, code, and process vendor invoices and expense claims. Manage AP in multiple currencies and jurisdictions, ensuring correct entity attribution, FX treatment, and adherence to local payment norms. Match invoices to POs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure appropriate authorization before payment. Prepare and execute domestic and cross-border vendor payment runs across multiple banking platforms. Maintain global vendor master data and manage vendor relationships and reconciliations. Ensure correct application of GST, TDS, withholding taxes, and other statutory deductions. Monitor global AP ageing and support treasury with payment forecasting. India Accounting & Month Close: Maintain the general ledger for the India entity with accurate, timely transaction recording. Maintain the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, capitalizations). Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance-sheet reconciliations. Post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications. Support timely month-end and year-end close including intercompany reconciliations. Assist in preparing management reports and supporting documentation. Compliance & Controls: Support statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external accountants, payroll providers, and auditors. Maintain organized, audit-ready records and strengthen internal controls and process documentation. Required: Bachelor's in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. 4+ years hands-on AP and bookkeeping experience, including multi-entity, multi-currency AP for fast-paced startups or large corporations with international operations. Experience processing cross-border payments and working with banking platforms (Brex, Ramp, etc.). Strong knowledge of Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS). Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close. Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. Meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to manage deadlines across multiple entities.
