Roofstock, a leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), is seeking an analytical and entrepreneurial Asset Manager to join its Asset Management team. The role focuses on optimizing rental property portfolios across multiple investor types and geographic markets to maximize net operating income (NOI) while delivering excellent service.
Key responsibilities include leveraging asset management expertise to advise property managers at the regional market level on critical investment lifecycle decisions such as leasing, marketing, renewals, rent recommendations, revenue management, capital expenditures, budget review, and dispositions. The Asset Manager will perform high-volume rent underwriting analysis, develop and track budgets, lead regional market meetings focused on occupancy and renewal performance, and monitor recently acquired asset performance to inform future acquisitions.
The role requires partnering with internal data teams to create visibility into operational performance, deriving insights from operating data, and producing financial reports and models for lender deliverables. The Asset Manager will monitor performance metrics and deliver quarterly results to institutional partners, maintain broad market knowledge across major markets, and provide input on asset management playbooks and process SOPs used by cross-functional teams. Occasional market visits are required.
The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of asset management experience with multifamily or single-family rental properties, strong Excel financial modeling skills, and the ability to work with large datasets. Candidates should demonstrate extreme attention to detail, strong quantitative and analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and experience interfacing with institutional investors. The role suits self-driven professionals comfortable with change, technology, and ambiguity in a high-tempo, high-growth environment.
