Salary: CAD 45,000 - 95,000 / annual
Grey, part of WPP, is seeking an Art Director to join its Toronto office. You will work in tandem with copywriters and creative teams to conceptualize and execute bold, strategic visual communications for major global brands including Procter & Gamble, Volvo, Haleon, Circle K, and Coca-Cola.
Your responsibilities span three core areas:
CREATIVE: Develop and realize graphic concepts within marketing strategy. Consult with clients to establish visual direction, graphic elements, and content. Work with photographers, illustrators, and production suppliers. Select models, locations, and props for shoots. Execute layouts and storyboards for print, outdoor, TV, and collateral materials. Design typography for print advertising. Supervise retouching and approve final art. Create original, memorable ideas and campaigns. Develop brand-building visual concepts from briefs and transform them into compelling imagery. Present and defend ideas internally and externally. Ensure minimum revisions through quality execution.
PRODUCTION: Oversee production across print, TV, websites, interactive terminals, and web video to ensure proper execution. Understand production techniques and stay current with latest methods. Manage department resources cost-effectively. Review key lines and rough cuts for accuracy before final delivery.
CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS: Build deep knowledge of client business. Develop strong client relationships as a trusted resource. Present creative materials professionally. Respect budget constraints. Communicate technical product aspects effectively.
You will also contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborate with illustrators and photographers, attend key meetings, monitor project progress through all phases, and maintain personal graphic resources and visual standards.

REQUIREMENTS:
- In-depth knowledge of creative execution including design, photography, typefaces, production processes, and costing
