Hims & Hers, a NYSE-traded telehealth and wellness platform, seeks an Area Manager for Facilities to lead maintenance operations at their Mesa, Arizona warehouse facility. This mid-level management role oversees a team of maintenance technicians and is responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance of critical production equipment including HVAC systems, compressors, forklifts, conveyance systems, and building infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and supervising a group of maintenance technicians on equipment maintenance, building repairs, and facility upkeep - Performing corrective, preventive, and planned maintenance on production-related equipment, powered industrial trucks, and building systems (HVAC, air compressors, water filtration) - Conducting building maintenance including painting, sheetrock repairs, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system evaluation and repair - Ensuring facility cleanliness and safety compliance, including 5S principles and hazardous energy policies (lockout/tagout) - Fabricating custom equipment using materials and tools to support warehouse operations - Maintaining detailed records using maintenance management software (Maintenance Connection) and tracking work orders, parts, and labor - Developing predictive maintenance strategies, analyzing trends, and recommending remedial actions - Communicating safety risks and operational issues to management - Performing equipment calibration and testing to ensure compliance with quality standards - Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtime - Coordinating with production personnel to schedule repairs with minimal disruption - Identifying process optimization and cost-saving opportunities - Participating in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives - Staying current with industry trends and best practices in equipment maintenance The role involves physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, climbing ladders and stairs, working at heights using scissor or bucket lifts, and potential exposure to hazardous drugs requiring PPE and respiratory protection certification. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or related field - 3+ years of formal leadership experience with direct reports - Ability to safely lift and carry items up to 50 lbs - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management software - Ability to troubleshoot machinery independently - Ability to document and interpret predictive/preventive maintenance data - Effective written and spoken English communication (Spanish bilingual preferred) - Physical capability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, climb ladders and stairs up to three flights, and work at heights - Ability to work cooperatively in a collaborative environment - Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting, maintaining, and operating advanced technical equipment - Demonstrated ability to teach and motivate in technical, fast-paced environments - Knowledge and experience with PLC systems - Knowledge and experience with CMMS systems - Formal training or certification from accredited institution in at least one of: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC systems, or HVAC trades - Minimum 18 years of age with state-required proof of age - High school diploma or equivalent GED
