Vuori, an athletic apparel brand blending performance and casual aesthetics, seeks an Area Manager to lead retail operations across South China. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and team development across multiple store locations in the region.
You will develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales, profitability, and KPIs across all South China stores. Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends and consumer data to identify growth opportunities, implementing national campaigns with local customization, and fostering relationships with shopping mall partners to maximize visibility and footfall. You'll leverage digital platforms like WeChat and WeCom to support online-to-offline strategies and clienteling. You'll also serve as the "ear to the ground" for new retail real estate opportunities in key markets including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and other priority cities.
Operationally, you'll ensure all stores maintain company standards for visual merchandising, inventory management, cash handling, and loss prevention. You'll oversee stock levels, manage inventory efficiently to minimize shrinkage, and ensure premium visual merchandising execution in partnership with global teams.
As a people leader, you'll recruit, train, mentor, and motivate Store Managers and their teams. You'll conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, create individual development plans, and manage succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline.
You'll champion on-brand, personalized customer service experiences and serve as the brand guardian, ensuring consistent execution of brand image and storytelling across all locations. You'll monitor customer feedback from channels like Dianping and WeChat, and provide regular detailed reports to senior management on area performance, market insights, and competitor activities.
Required: 10+ years retail management experience with at least 3 years in a multi-store Area Manager role. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. You must have proven track record of driving sales growth, in-depth knowledge of South China retail landscape and consumer behavior, proficiency in English, exceptional team leadership abilities, strong analytical skills, and willingness to travel within the region.
