Salary: USD 75,000 - 90,000 / annual

Cross River is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its Finance team in Fort Lee, NJ. The role is central to the company's month-end and year-end close processes, financial analysis, and accounting operations. Key responsibilities include executing daily and monthly journal entries with proper documentation, performing general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. You will prepare and substantiate accounts using Blackline reconciliation systems, conduct daily bank account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies by identifying root causes and collaborating across functional and technical teams. The role involves participating in monthly fluctuation analysis on flagged accounts, supporting regulatory and financial reporting teams, and preparing ad hoc reports as needed. You will assist with internal, external, and regulatory audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Additionally, you will help develop and implement financial controls and policies to maintain compliance and mitigate risks. Collaboration is essential—you will work with various departments, internal/external auditors, and team members to streamline financial processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices. The position requires flexibility to meet changing team needs and support ad hoc projects within the Finance group. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with a minimum of 1+ years of accounting experience in a public or private setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Experience with Blackline and Workday or similar reconciliation systems is preferred.
